Stand Up For Windrush 2022 was a Huge Success

A massive comedy gig in support of The Windrush Foundation was held last night at London’s Hackney Empire.

Acts included Richard Blackwood, Thanyia Moore (pictured), Travis J, BiBi Crew, Darran Griffiths, Jocelyn Jee Esien and Felicity Ethnic.

The organisers said, “This is a chance to celebrate Black British talent and the huge contribution our forefathers and the many generations of Caribbean and African migrants have made to this country. A percentage of the profits will be donated to charities supporting families affected by the Windrush scandal.”

The Windrush Foundation is a registered charity that designs and delivers heritage projects, programmes and initiatives which highlight African and Caribbean peoples’ contributions to UK public services, the Arts, commerce, and other areas of socio-economic and cultural life in Britain and the Commonwealth.
