John Dowie

John Dowie is a former stand up comedian turned author based in Cambridge, England.

He was one of the very first alternative comedians.

John’s popular children’s story Dogman was published in 2015 by BBC Worldwide with illustrations by Delphine Thomas. The audiobook of Dogman features Phill Jupitus and Neil Innes.

He was a writer and close friend of the late Victoria Wood.
