Tell me about your 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show.
It is a comedy show about infertility! Sounds sad but I promise you’ll have a good time.
What are your expectations of this year’s Fringe?
To try and not lose my mind, make some connections, and hope that anyone else going through infertility makes their way into my room so they can have a laugh about it. Oh and I really want someone to invite me to perform in Australia.
Who inspires you?
Women. Don’t know if you heard what’s going down in the US but wooo doggy it’s not great! Women lost autonomy over our own bodies and yet we still get up every morning, go to work, smile, and function. It’s astounding.
What was it like first getting back on stage after the pandemic lockdown?
It was bizarre but also familiar. The muscle memory came back pretty quickly then it just felt like I was back at work. But I became a different better comic ultimately because of the break. I think I was really needing time off to remember how much I loved and enjoyed doing comedy and now I feel like a whole different comic on stage. I’m unhinged and I love it.
Finally, ask and answer a question of your own.
What advice would you give to someone that wants to start comedy?
Truly do anything other than start comedy.
